Pistol Match Standard Operating Procedures
1., All shooters in the match will sign in, printing their names. NOT INITIALS, and indicate whether they are Club members.
2., Shooters will be asked to wear a holster. Shooters not having a holster but allowed to shoot will be asked to clear their guns after shooting each stage.
3. Loaded firearms are to be handled only by the shooter who is shooting a stage. Loaded guns will be holstered after shooting a stage. All loaded guns are to remain holstered between stages. If a shooter needs to un-holster a loaded gun, he must move to a live range. Inserting a magazine in a holstered gun is permissible.
4. Shooters shooting bowling pins will wear either a full face shield or safety goggles provided at the match in addition to their regular eye protection.
5. Ear and eye protection to be worn by all persons at the match range at all times.
6., Range Flashing lights will be used. The range will be posted at entrances that a scheduled shoot is on with non-standard rules.
7. Participants may access their gear from both sides of the bench, but NO FIREARMS WILL BE HANDLED WHILE ANYONE IS DOWN RANGE.
8., Shooters will move to a hot range to handle guns while the shoot is on and anyone is down range.
