RANGE POINT ACQUISITION GUIDELINE

 

1.       Shooting disciplines will control their own range point system for work or shooting events.  Range points earned for work or shooting events will be redeemable for shooting merchandise or club membership.   Funding for these range points will come from the disciplines funding.

 

2.       Any club member in good standing, including all members of a family membership, who performs work on club projects as scheduled and approved by the Board of Directors, is eligible for Range Points.

 

3.       Any club member in good standing who is NRA (National Rifle Association) certified as an RSO (Range Safety Officer) or Club certified as a RO (Range Officer) is eligible for range points when in charge of the Pistol and Rifle Ranges other than club scheduled events.

 

4.       Range Points will be accumulated as follows:

A.       All work on club projects / events will be eligible for 2 Range Points per hour of work, not to exceed the scheduled project/event hours.  Club members may accumulate a maximum of 400 Range Points per year per member.

 

1.       The following equipment furnished by club members will be eligible for 4 Range Points per hour of    

work.  (Excavator, Bulldozer, Tractor, Backhoe, Dump Truck).

 

       B.  Range Officer duty (one RO per shift, unless prior approval is authorized by the BOD or Range                     

                                Point Administrator) is eligible for Range Points as follows without a maximum yearly accumulation limit.                     

 

1.       3 Range Points per hour during the week.

2.       5 Range Points per hour on weekends and holidays.

3.       Daily Range Officer hours will not exceed the operating hours of the range, except as noted in “B” above.

 

5.    All monthly Range Point activity shall be recorded on the appropriate Range Points Activity             Sheets maintained in the Range Office or separate Range Points Activity Sheets may be turned in to the Range Office no later than (2) days after the end of the month.  Range Points submitted later than the second (2nd) day of the following month will not be credited to the individual.  Range Points earned will be credited to the individual in the Range Point tracking program.  Range Points earned for club work will be kept separate from Range Points earned for Range Officer duty.  The Range Point program administrator will provide current listings of individual’s points by category, which will be posted at the range and in the clubhouse.

 

  6.    Range Points are redeemable for shooting merchandise or club membership.  Range Points will not be redeemed for money.  When requested by the club member, a redemption certificate (i.e., hand written receipt) will be issued by the Range Point Administer, made out to PSC membership or to the merchant from whom the shooting supplies are being purchased.   The member or administrator will submit the original receipt (white copy) to the PSC treasurer for membership or a check.

 

7.        Expiration of Range Points:  Range Points listed for individuals on the monthly Range Point Report For Year XXXX sheet will expire on the 1st of April for those listings that have not had any activity during the previous Club year (through March), whereas all other Range Points will be carried over to the next Club year and will show on the April Range Point Report sheet as carried over Range Points.  Any questions may be directed to the Range Points Administrator.

 

8.        The Range Point system and the procedure for obtaining a redemption certificate from the person administering the Range Point program will be under the direction of the Board of Directors.
