Yes we are open for target shooting, but…

Both the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) have lifted bans on target shooting on the lands managed by their departments. The notices were effective on September 15, 2017.

In addition, the Kitsap County Fire Marshal has lifted the stage 1 burn ban in Kitsap county.

Hunter Sight-In Days for 2018

Hunter sight-in days for 2018 will run from Friday September 21 through Sunday September 30. We have six shooting benches at 100 yards and four at 200 yards. The 200 yard range will not be available on Sunday September 23.



Rifle calibers up to but not including 50 caliber Browning Machine Gun are welcome. Additional details are provided here.

PSC Newsletter for September, 2018

Training is gearing up with two pistol classes held in August. Scheduling for training is still uncertain due to the timing of the range closure for the baffle replacement project. Discussions continue around lead management on the range with new considerations coming from L&I. This is going to be an ongoing consideration for the EB item. 2019 Board elections are coming up in January. Potential candidates are encouraged to have a conversation to see if what the club needs is something you can provide.


This is a much-discussed item but PSC has about 70 members that do the whole thing, EB, RSO, Range Maintenance, committees and it tends to be the same 70 year after year. Keep in mind that if something is going on at the club that works for you a volunteer did it. Meeting Schedule Changes

Several schedule changes for meetings were approved last night at the membership meeting.


The July general membership meeting has been moved from July 3 to July 10 because of the July 4 holiday.


The September general membership meeting has been moved from September 4 to September 11 because of the Labor Day holiday.


The December executive board meeting has been moved from December 25 to December 18 because of Christmas.


The January 2019 general membership meeting has been moved from January 1, 2019 to January 8, 2019 because of the New Year’s holiday.
